Red Bull Creation

I had been very looking forward to going to see Red Bull Creation since I saw the poster at a subway station. It seemed to be an extremely crazy and exciting event.

Red Bull Creation challenges top teams of inventors to create future. They have to build something useful, imaginative and inspiring within 72 hours.Teams are tasked to build creations designed to move the weight of a person (100lbs) from point A to point B and no fossil fuels allowed.

This event was held at McCarren Park, Brooklyn on 7/10,2011.

The High Line Extended

NYC is getting quite muggy these days, but the High Line is a really cool spot to hung out in the early evening.

"The High Line is a 1mile New York City Park built on a 1.45 mile section of the former elevated freight railroad spur called the West Side Line, which runs along the lower west side of Manhattan; it has been redesigned and planted as an aerial greenway. The High Line Park currently runs from Gansevoort Street, one block below West 12th street, in the Meatpacking District, up to 30th street, through the neighborhood of Chelsea to the West Side Yard, near the Javits Convention Center". I love this park because I could take many interesting daily-life pictures from a high standpoint.

Many people were reading, sleeping, and talking together on the benches.

The Cloisters

NY is getting warmer little by little toward spring. I have finally come out from hibernation. I am really glad to go out and enjoy my favorite leisure activity.

Last week, escaping the hustle and bustle of a big city, I finally had a chance to visit the Cloisters Museum where I had been wanting to go.
"The Cloisters, the branch of The Metropolitan Museum of Art devoted to the art and architecture of medieval Europe, was assembled from architectural elements, both domestic and religious, that date from the twelfth through the fifteenth century. The Cloisters collection comprises approximately three thousand works of art from medieval Europe, dating from about the ninth to the sixteenth century." The Cloisters is located in Fort Tryon Park in north western Manhattan. The park is a really wonderful place to walk around. You can look down on the Hudson River from the park. It is really a spectacular view.

The collection of the Cloisters is religious but really familiar, so it makes me feel at peace. It is one of the definitely worth visiting places in NYC.
